Davin Hornsworth (Jonathan):

Billionaire nepo baby and son of mining tycoon Ralph Hornsworth, heir to their company. He should be working out of Colorado with his sister, but spends the majority of his time in LA, wasting his money on drugs and expensive shoes. He mostly came on this trip because he was bored and rarely says no to a party.

Rebecca Hornsworth (Taylor):

Billionaire nepo baby and daughter of mining tycoon Ralph Hornsworth. Actually intelligent and should be the one inheriting her father’s business, but won’t because she’s a woman. She works tirelessly out of Colorado, keeping the mines running and ruthlessly destroying their competition and crushing unions, but none of it garners the attention of her father. Constantly trying to prove her worth, she accepted the invitation to watch her brother and stop him from getting any possible glory.

Sarah Gavensby (Rachel):

Longtime lover of Rebecca Hornsworth. Hated by Davin because she doesn’t come from money and doesn’t fit the part. She has a doctorate in archaeology from Cambridge, but is stuck working as a museum curator in Colorado so that Rebecca can be close to her family and stay involved in the family business. She resents Rebecca for making her lose the life she once dreamed of: running her own archaeological site in MesoAmerica. She accepted the invitation in a heartbeat for the opportunity to visit some of the ancient ruins.

Tululuh Jones (Shae):

Hollywood sweetheart who got famous after being pushed off a billionaire’s boat. She spent three days at sea before getting picked up by pirates and held for ransom. She doesn’t tell anyone exactly what happened out there, but has been trying to recreate the adrenaline high she got ever since. Bored with red carpets, she accepted the invitation for the opportunity to feel something exciting again. 

Guillermo (Gui) Kaanu'l (Abe):

One of the few remaining descendants from the Mayan royal family. Living part time in LA and part time in the Yucatan, he is a massive philanthropist for native and hispanic charities. It is unclear where all of his money comes from, but it appears there is quite a bit of it. No one questions it because it seems he uses it for good. He accepted the invitation as it was only a few hours from his home in the Yucatan and he loves a good mystery. 

Waldo Hammersbee (Mike):

Obsidian metallurgist obsessed with fire obsidian weapons created during the Mayan age. He hosts a weapon making show on Netflix where contestants are stabbed with their own weapons when they fail a challenge. He believes forging one’s own weaponry is a lost art and that some of the metallurgy technology was likely lost with the Mayan empire. He accepted the invitation for the opportunity to go harvest some obsidian himself and maybe even discover something new. 

Hans Bucher (Pat):

A rare art collector from Switzerland. Famously wealthy, famously leaving all of his wealth and his art to his dogs. He recently loaned a huge MesoAmerican collection to be a traveling collection across museums of the world, only to have it stolen on transport between London and Dubai. He accepted the invitation as he believed it may be related to the heist. 

Brisbane Lee (Luke):

Treasure Hunter known for finding 4.5 mill in gold coins off the coast of Australia. After finding the treasure, he bought himself a new face and now goes about town dressed like Magnum PI, flashing a gold coin he keeps on himself at all times. He thinks he is a real hot shot, and unfortunately he does actually know a thing or two about treasure hunting so people have to listen to him. He accepted the invitation as he never turns down the opportunity to talk about his adventures.

Anya Popov (Jordan):

Former Russian spy turned double agent by the US government. After the operation was exposed, she became a US citizen and worked as a consultant and expert decoder for the DoD. She married into the Russian mafia in New York for protection, but is exceptionally intelligent and longs for the challenges she had when she was a double agent. When the mysterious invitation arrived, she immediately knew she wanted to go.

Nikolai Popov (Zack):

Son of Russian immigrants who met Anya when she moved to the US. Nikolai is known as a butcher for the Russian mafia out of New York. He and Anya keep their work lives and their personal lives separate, though it is rumored that he is on his way out of the family business to lead a quieter life. He did not have interest in accepting this invitation as it seemed to him that it could’ve been a trap from a rival family. Anya convinced him to go.

Mateo Matisse (David):

Mateo handles a lot of imports and exports. Specifically, he runs the largest operation transporting cocaine from Mexico City to Los Angeles. Seems like a good time party boy, but has a mind for business and a ruthless determination. He found out that two of his largest clients, Guillermo & Davin had been invited and decided to see if this could be an opportunity to expand into new territories. 

Cameron Buffet (Yaniv):

Adopted son of Jimmy Buffet who was exposed to treasure hunting and Riviera Maya through travels with his father. He has a laid back attitude like Jimmy, but doesn’t want to live in his father’s shadow. He secretly performs as L@i2de - an EDM artist at underground clubs in tropical locations. He likely would’ve been in Riviera Maya regardless of receiving this invitation, but is pretty hype to find out what all of this secrecy is about.

Beau Miller (Amir):

Midwestern American dad who received the invitation due to a clerical error. He planned to just ignore the invitation, but his wife, Piper, thought a trip to Mexico and a little excitement could be just what their marriage needed. He will likely be missing his American comforts and prefer to be watching Indiana Jones rather than living it. He works as a risk analyst for an insurance company and prefers to keep things as safe as possible.

Piper Miller (Shosh):

Midwestern American mom who received the invitation due to a clerical error. She has really been enjoying watching Outer Banks and Indiana Jones and thought that accepting the invitation could spice up her marriage. She will want to take pictures of everything and be in awe of all the fabulous people. She works from home making custom croc charms and spends most nights making midwestern salads for book club or PTA. 

Renata Rosati (Emily):

Pharma billionaire turned recluse turned woman about town.  Made billions off of a drug that poisoned millions. When sued, she decided to take the drug to prove her belief in it and ended up horribly ill. She retired in disgrace and left the public eye for several years. After looking for alternative ways to heal herself, she ended up at Shaman Quinn’s wellness retreat. She claims to have communicated directly with Balamku on ayahuasca while at the retreat and has been obsessed with Mayan culture and history ever since. She would never turn down a trip to Riviera Maya.

Shaman Quinn Nimea (Chris):

Host of wellness retreat to the stars. Specializes in alternative medicine as a gateway to communicating with Mayan spirits for guidance, despite being white and from Philadelphia himself. He went on an ayahuasca retreat 10 years ago and claims to have spoken to Cit-Bolon-Tum, who told him that his true path in life was healing. He makes millions each year off of rich white people looking to find themselves. He likely saw this invitation as an opportunity to find more clients.

Agatha Arletta (Liliana):

Millionaire widow with a suspicious number of dead husbands. She has traveled the world on her inheritance and is usually picking up a new husband and a new interest along the way. Since she was once a chemist in her twenties, it is rumored that she knows how to poison her husbands to make it look like they died of natural causes. It doesn't hurt that she also marries men in the twilight of their lives. She is currently single and may have accepted this invitation to be on the lookout for husband number 9.
